The first climb, the 3rd-category Puerto de Mojón, begins at Km 76.7. The 2nd-category Alto de Valdepeñas de Jaén, beginning at Km 144.6 (30.4 km from the finish) is followed quickly by the climb to the finish line on the Sierra de la Pandera, beginning 12 km from the end. The steepest section, at 13%, occurs at about 8.5 km into the climb.

Km 153.1 – Puerto Locubin: 2nd cat., 8.5 km at 4.8% avg.
