Stage 13, Friday, September 5: Belorado – Obregón. Parque de Cabárceno 188.7km

Start time: 12:38
Real racing: 12:50
Finish expected: 17:26-17:56

Features:

Km 83.4: Feed zone
Km 93: Sprint at Espinosa de Montreros
Km 110.1: Alto de Estacas de Trueba, Cat. 3
Km 132: Puerto de la Braguía, Cat. 3
Km 151.5 (37.2 km to go): Alto de Caracol, Cat. 2
Km 179: Sprint at Penagos

This is only the second time that the finish in Parque de Cabárceno has appeared in La Vuelta, after it’s debut in 1996 with a victory by Biagio Conte.

Technical director of La Vuelta, Paco Giner, says that today’s finale is complicated, with a 2-km climb with ramps of up to 14-16%, followed by a descent and final spike inside the park. “It’s a difficult finale to control and will favor a breakaway.”
